What is the Goal?

I read and have read numerous books on IT, programming, architecture, and similar. The one book I think all should read and which has had the most lasting impression on me is “The Goal”.

Read it!

“The Goal” by Eliyahu M. Goldratt is an engaging tale that effectively teaches fundamental business principles. Through the experiences of a plant manager, readers learn about the Theory of Constraints (TOC) and how it applies to real-world business situations. The book focuses on continuous improvement by identifying and eliminating bottlenecks. It’s a valuable resource for experienced professionals and new managers looking to improve operational efficiency, make better decisions, and increase profits.

Also, read the follow-ups or modernized versions;

“The Phoenix Project: A Novel about IT, DevOps, and Helping Your Business Win” by Gene Kim (which I found good but not equally captivating).

“The Unicorn Project: A Novel about Developers, Digital Disruption, and Thriving in the Age of Data” by Gene Kim (which is on my to-do list to read).
